A quintessential English golf course set in a heritage country estate sits at the heart of a local countryside economy comprising a hotel, spa and residential property lettings – and it all needed a CCTV upgrade. The estate’s existing video system, which comprised a mix of standalone and connected IP and analogue, continued to perform relatively well after seven years’ service. However, IDIS stepped in because the security team needed increased coverage, more storage capacity, faster retrieval, improved playback, and export of footage, and to optimise the overall ease of use. IDIS integration partner IES Security delivered a modernised solution which entailed a new network infrastructure, including a point-to-point fibre link between the golf estate and the hotel, six IDIS network recorders, 8MP domes and bullets and the cost-free IDIS Center VMS.
